Welcome to our review of online shopping in the final quarter of 2021. In the previous quarter (Q3 2021) we saw online shopping spend reach new highs driven by extended lockdowns. This quarter (Q4 2021) was characterised by the continuation of lockdowns and physical shopping restrictions, the big sales days like Black Friday, and, of course, the big shopping spree that leads us into Christmas. The result is some very big online spending numbers, bigger than we’ve seen before.
